DESCRIPTION:This program has been rescheduled to June 26 due to storms.  \nWidening Our Lens on Aging\nJune 26\n 9 a.m. – 12 noon\nJewish Federation of Western Connecticut\n444 Main Street North\, Southbury\n Register \nWidening Our Lens on Aging will begin with a screening of “Coming of Age in Aging America.”  With compelling stories and insights\, this public television documentary explores the question “What will it mean for us all to grow up\, live and age in a society where a third of the population is over age 65?” \nFollowing the film\, Gerontologist Donna Fedus will help us explore new programs and ideas that are taking root in Connecticut to help older people thrive – Disrupt Aging\, Aging 2.0\, and others. Donna will discuss the LGBT Moveable Senior Center with senior center expert Dianne Stone. Finally\, we will talk about bringing these new perspectives into own our communities and organizations. \n Engaging Aging workshops combine new ideas\, effective programs worth sharing and key concepts in gerontology. DESCRIPTION:Pathways for Older Adults\, Professional Learning Program\n\n\n\nJoin us at Village at East Farms in Waterbury on July 13 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. to explore building creative partnerships\, developing relationships and addressing community needs by engaging people of all ages. Increased longevity has created more living generations than ever before.
