At this book club style event\, we’ll explore Kristen Hannah’s powerful bestselling novel The Women—a story of a young nurse who serves during the Vietnam War and comes home to a country that does not always recognize what women have sacrificed\, endured\, and built. It is a story about courage\, invisibility\, resilience\, and the long arc of being seen. Hannah’s work also offers a meaningful lens through which we can reflect on our own experiences and the impact we make through the Women’s Giving Circle. \nIf you have not had a chance to read the book — come anyway! This is—first and foremost—a gathering of women who care about our community and each other.
