Promoting Early Literacy through Music
The Children’s Center of New Milford welcomes all children – regardless of family income – in its early childhood education and childcare programs. Nearly one half of the students enrolled in the Center’s programs for children 3 months to 8 years old are from low income households. Knowing that these kids are less likely to enter school with the skills they need to learn to read, the Center’s staff is always thinking about creative ways to boost literacy skills.
