Francesca Evangelista
Francesca oversees grantmaking within a portfolio that includes health, environmental justice, and pathways for older adults. Prior to joining the Foundation, Francesca worked for the Western CT Area Agency on Aging (WCAAA) for four years. Her experience there included providing bilingual services to older adults in the areas of case management, health insurance counseling, and community outreach. She participated in the city-wide collaborative called BRASS, which provides older adults with access to opportunities for health education, as well as free screenings for state and federal program eligibility.
Favorite Experience in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills
Francesca enjoys watching older adults attend the various programs offered at senior centers in our region. She also enjoys attending city-based programs with her family like “Harry Potter Day” at Silas Bronson Library and Mattatuck Museum.
