Yadira Perez

Yadira Perez holds a bachelor’s degree in human services from Springfield College and has worked in the non-profit sector for the past 15 years with a focus in working with older adults over the past 10 years. She is passionate about fostering an environment that contributes to happiness, healthy achievements, and socialization through integration of facilities and programs that support healthy aging. Before joining the Foundation, Yadira was the Director of Senior Nutrition Services for New Opportunities Inc. where she was responsible for providing culturally appropriate nutrition and health literacy to enhance equitable community response to nutrition related programing and education for older adults. She led the development and implementation of an innovative restaurant program surrounded by health, fitness, cultural programing, and educational opportunities for low-income seniors in downtown Waterbury that have the greatest economic need. Yadira has a strong sense of integrity and takes seriously her commitment to improve the quality of life for economically disadvantaged seniors.
