Communicating About Your Grant
Congratulations on your grant from Connecticut Community Foundation or one of our collective giving circles! Thanks for making our beautiful community a better place to live and to thrive.
Let’s spread the word about your impactful work together. Here are a few tips:
Help The Foundation Share Your Good News
Let our Communications team know when you’ve posted or published some news about your grant, and we’ll use our own channels to amplify your story. We are proud to publicize our partnership with your organization to show donors how their generosity has made your work possible, and to inspire others to support and celebrate your nonprofit’s efforts.

Take A Multi-Platform Approach
Use email, newsletters, social media (paid and organic), your website, and your own print materials like newsletters, annual reports, etc. to announce your grant and tell everyone about your vision, your goals, and how you are impacting our neighbors in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills. Include the Foundation’s logo in event signage or promotional posters and banners. If you need assistance with our logo or language, don’t hesistate to contact our Marketing and Communications team.
Whenever possible, please link to our website at www.conncf.org
Alert the Media!
Please include Connecticut Community Foundation in press releases and story pitches about your grant and the program it is funding. We are happy to review content or provide a quote for the release. Contact one of the Communications team listed above.
How To Refer To Connecticut Community Foundation
Please refer to us as “Connecticut Community Foundation” (no “the” before our name.) Our preferred secondary reference is “the Foundation.” Please do not use the abbreviated “CCF.” You may also choose to use the longer “Connecticut Community Foundation for Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills” for local emphasis.
Use the Foundation’s Logo
If you would like an electronic file of our logo for use on your grant promotion materials, you can download it at conncf.org/press-room.
Please do not use any previous version of our logo or alter our logo in any way. In particular, please do not stretch or distort the logo. Please do not print the logo in any colors that are not the Foundation’s brand colors. Contact our Marketing team if you have any specific graphics needs or questions.
Tag Us On Social Media
The Foundation maintains social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. When you create a post, tag the Foundation to that post and we will do our best to share it.
Share Photos and Video
We are eager to share photos and video of our nonprofit partners’ work. Please be sure to obtain the permission of anyone pictured in the photos or video that you send to us. Include a brief caption identifying the subjects whenever possible, and include the photographer’s credit. High resolution photos are best.
