Women’s Giving Circle 9th Annual Kick Off

Join the Women’s Giving Circle’s 9th Annual Kickoff event as we celebrate the women who have shaped our communities and the next generation of leaders who are blazing new trails.

Pearls of Philanthropy – The Role of Women in Local Philanthropy: Past, Present, and Future
Thursday, October 23, 6:00- 8:00 p.m.
CT State Community College – Naugatuck Valley
Founder’s Hall
750 Chase Parkway, Waterbury

Your presence at this gathering matters! You’ll stand alongside women who, like you, are dedicated to shaping a stronger, more equitable future for women and girls in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills. Together, we’ll explore the history and impact of how local women have been catalysts for our region.

This complimentary event will feature a presentation by Barbara Bradbury-Pape, Director of Leadership giving for the United Way of Waterbury. In addition, we will unveil this year’s theme, and connect with other community-minded women. When we give together, we transform lives.

About our presenter:

Barbara is the Director of Leadership Giving for the United Way of Greater Waterbury. Prior to that, she worked as a development director for other local area nonprofits. Barbara has served on the boards of The Litchfield Historical Society, the CT League of History Museums, Flanders Nature Center and Land Trust, the New Britain Museum of American Art, and the Connecticut Community Foundation. She has an undergraduate degree in history and art history from St. Lawrence University and a master of American History from Tufts University where she focused her studies on late nineteenth and early twentieth century immigration and women’s history.

You are the difference. Each voice strengthens our Circle. Each gift multiplies our impact. Together, we are fueling organizations that meet the most pressing needs of women and girls while lifting up the entire community. Thanks to past support, more than $230,000 has been invested in the lives of women and girls in the Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills communities since 2016.

If you’ve been considering joining the Circle, now is the time, learn more and join today!

Bring a friend. Share the joy. Experience the power of women leading together. We cannot wait to welcome you! Please RSVP below by October 20.
