Tech Training for Waterbury Community Organizing
August 29, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Join us for training that will provide tips, tricks, and best practices for cost-free online programs to enhance, organize, and advertise community organizing.
Tech Training for Waterbury Community Organizing Thursday, August 29 5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. Silas Bronson Library 267 Grand St., Waterbury Register
Locally, many community organizers, advocates, and engaged residents find the time to support their communities in between shifts, on their days off, or while caregiving for a child or loved one. Often, creating marketing material or sending documents to their team can take a lot of time away from the activities that matter most.
Join Roslyn Sotero (pronouns: she/her/hers), a grassroots leaders committee member at Connecticut Community Foundation, as she walks through some of her favorite technology time-savers and content creators, such as Canva, Google Hangouts, Google Drive, Eventbrite, Mailchimp and more!
Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet if possible. Dinner will be served. Children welcomed.
Street parking is free after 5 p.m in Waterbury; Silas Bronson Library also has parking in back.
