To support the conservation and preservation of natural resources in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills while increasing environmental awareness for residents of all ages. Priority is given to projects which encourage meaningful new collaborations and create lasting change.

Environmental grant proposals are accepted once per year.

Efforts to clean-up or restore environmentally degraded areas.

Programs that conserve or preserve natural resources (including land, water, air and energy)

Efforts to build environmental awareness for residents of all ages. These may include educational program for youth or training on environmentally sound development practices to builders or municipal zoning officials.

Scientific research or policy work that help to create a cleaner, more sustainable future.
