Connecticut Community Foundation has been struck both by the breadth of issues affecting girls in our region and by the broadly shared sense that certain key issues and needs – self-esteem, resilience, mentoring, responsibility, and good decision-making – are of immediate, critical importance.
To address these concerns, we have adopted the following focus to guide our Women’s Fund grantmaking: to identify, convene, and support programs that promote advocacy and skill development while fostering resilience, self-esteem, and self-respect among girls and young women in our 21-town region.
Watch our short video below to learn more about the organizations, programs, women and girls you’ve helped us support this past year through funds dedicated to women and girls.
