Principles of Fundraising

Now in its 14th year, the Principles of Fundraising series of workshops continues to provide high-caliber, basic-skills development in the art and science of fundraising for nonprofits. Created by the Connecticut Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the series provides five introductory-level workshops focusing on theory and practice of fundraising taught by AFP members who are experts in their respective fields.

These workshops are designed to help new and established nonprofit organizations raise money more effectively and efficiently. They are perfect for executive directors, board members, volunteers, and those new to or transiting into the nonprofit sector.

Connecticut Community Foundation is pleased to offer 35 full scholarships worth $140 each for those taking all five sessions. The scholarships are available for anyone living in or representing nonprofits located in the following towns in western Connecticut:

Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, and Woodbury.
