Connecticut Community Foundation, alongside presenting sponsor Ion Bank Foundation, successfully concluded the 12th annual Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills online giving event, surpassing all previous records by raising over $2.17 million for over 300 nonprofit organizations serving the Foundation’s 21-town service area.*

“Year after year, Give Local showcases the remarkable generosity and solidarity in our community, and this year was no exception,” remarked Julie Loughran, president and CEO of Connecticut Community Foundation. “Through their generosity, donors participating in Give Local are actively supporting critical needs, fostering resilience, and creating opportunities for individuals and families across our region. Each donation, no matter its size, is a testament to the power of collective community giving. Together, we are building a stronger, more vibrant community.”

This year’s Give Local witnessed unprecedented participation, with over 6,500 individuals contributing to 311 nonprofits across the region. In addition to the generous gifts made by donors through the online platform, participating nonprofits will benefit from over $140,000 in bonus funds, allocated based on the number of individual donors each organization secured. Nonprofits also competed for nearly $50,000 in cash prizes throughout Give Local, adding an element of thrill to the online give-a-thon. These bonus funds and prizes were made possible through contributions from Connecticut Community Foundation, Ion Bank Foundation, and many other sponsors who offered these incentives to maximize the impact of donors’ generosity.

The leaderboard on the Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills website, www.GiveLocalCCF.org, showcases the total funds raised for each participating nonprofit, along with the number of donors each organization attracted. Additionally, cash prize winners, including $16,000 for eight separate grand prizes generously sponsored by Ion Bank Foundation, are prominently featured on the prize page.
