Healthbridge Foundation of Greater Waterbury Announces New Grants to Strengthen
Health and Well-Being in Naugatuck:

Grant Applications are due Monday, September 21 at 11:59 PM

Naugatuck, CT (August 5,2026) – Healthbridge Foundation of Greater Waterbury invites nonprofits connecting Naugatuck residents to healthcare services and preventative care to apply for funding in the Fall 2026 competitive grant round. Through community dialogue and studying trends across the region, Healthbridge Foundation recognized tangible gaps in insurance coverage, transportation, affordability, and wrap around services that help people achieve their best health.

Ellen Carter, Chair of the Board of Trustees, commented, “Healthbridge is excited to offer this grant opportunity to support Naugatuck residents in receiving better access to healthcare and preventive services. We know the need is great, and we look forward to partnering with grantees to ensure that Naugatuck residents are connected to care.

Healthbridge Foundation seeks to fund organizations that:

  • Help residents access healthcare and preventative services.
  • Connect patients to health insurance options and help people remain insured by supporting benefit redeterminations.
  • Provide medical transportation.
  • Reduce the financial burden of accessing care by helping patients with co-pays, coinsurance, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket expenses. These programs should focus on reaching people who are experiencing financial hardships due to medical costs.

Organizations can apply for up to three years of funding and receive up to $50,000 per year.
