Dear Scholarship Applicants:

This is a reminder that scholarship applications are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, March 15th, if you have not already submitted yours. (You can check your submission history by logging into your account at https://ccfscholarships.egrant.net

However, we do recognize that there have been challenges and delays regarding the FAFSA financial aid process at the national level, and that not all students have yet received their Student Aid Index number, which is required for our application. As such, all applicants must still submit an application by March 15th, but we are providing a separate one-month extension on financial need information until April 15th if needed. Please note the following, if you have NOT yet received your Student Aid Index number (either through the initial FAFSA submission email or subsequent FAFSA Student Submission form):

  • On the first page of the scholarship application (General form only), there is an eligibility question asking if your Student Aid Index # is below $30,000. Just say “yes” to proceed if you have not yet received this number.
  • Later in the application, you will be asked to enter your Student Aid Index #. If you have not yet received this number, please just enter $999 in that field for now.
  • You will be asked to upload the first page of your FAFSA Submission Summary (or your FAFSA submission confirmation email if it lists your Student Aid Index #). If you have not yet received this number, please upload a blank placeholder document for now.
  • The steps above will allow you to submit your application by March 15th.

IMPORTANT: When you DO receive your Student Aid Index #, you must email a copy of this documentation to us at scholarships@conncf.org by no later than April 15th. We will manually update your data on this side to reflect the new information. If we do not receive this additional information by April 15th, your application will not be eligible for consideration.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this complicated time, and hope that this flexibility in the process will better serve you and your family.

Best wishes,

Connecticut Community Foundation
