Volunteers at St. Vincent DePaul Mission Soup Kitchen in Waterbury cook, prepare and serve ‘grab-and-go’ meals and provide pantry items for hundreds of people each week.
Just as winter approaches and the holiday season is upon us, recent policy changes are stripping families across our 21-towns of critical food.
To address the growing, critical needs in our communities, we have launched the Impact NOW fund. The Impact NOW Fund provides support for immediate basic needs in our community. With a goal of reaching $300,000 by year’s end, we have already begun to leverage this funding to support critical needs in our community.

Give Local, in its 14th year, is the community’s 36-hour giveathon which raises millions each year for hundreds of local nonprofits in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills.”
