Grant Mastery: Funding Your Organization’s Mission

In partnership with the United Way of Greater Waterbury, Connecticut Community Foundation presents a two-day mini conference to provide local nonprofits with comprehensive training in many aspects of grant writing, management, and reporting.

The course, offered in Waterbury on January 22 and 23, 2026, will start with getting leaders invested in the grant process and end with an introduction to federal grants. Sessions provide knowledge, skills, and ethical best practices. Over 50 handouts and resources will be provided, and attendees will have time for individual questions. 

Our Trainers:

Cyndi MacKenzie and Scot Scala are nationally known and sought-after for their expertise, leadership, and ethical standards.

Cyndi is Grant Professional Certified, and is a Grant Professional Association Approved Trainer. Together with her clients, Cyndi has raised more than $50 million in grant funds over the last 20 years.

Scot is Grant Professional Certified, and is a Grant Professional Association Approved Trainer. Scot’s consulting business offers over 30 unique trainings to the nonprofit community, and his business has helped raise over $120 million in revenue for his clients. Scot has worked with nonprofits since 1987.
