Patrick McKenna

Born and raised in Waterbury, Patrick joined the Foundation in 2016. He works to support local nonprofits by linking them to important resources and providing educational and training opportunities. Patrick also staffs several grant priority areas including Grassroots Leadership, Whittemore Travel Scholarship, Strengthening Nonprofits, Women’s Giving Circle, McMillen Fund, and the Foundation’s work with the Ion Bank Foundation.  Prior to joining the Foundation, Patrick worked for five years at the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits (now The Alliance). He is also a former AmeriCorps member, having completed two years of the Public Allies program. He enjoys spending time with his wife Kelly and their dog Iggy Pup.

Favorite Experience in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills

Spending hours and hours at Fulton Park, hiking in the hills on the weekends, and watching the Waterbury Laurel’s play ball.
