Navigating Uncertainty: Setting Priorities for Mission and Impact

Setting Priorities for Mission and Impact
September 24, 2026 |
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Mattatuck Museum
144 West Main Street, Waterbury

This workshop series is designed to help nonprofits build the tools, frameworks, and strategies needed to navigate an unpredictable environment. Across three hands-on sessions, participants will explore scenario planning, fund development, and mission realignment as interconnected approaches to strengthening organizational resilience. Designed for small- to mid-sized nonprofits with budgets of $2 million or less. Organizations are encouraged to attend in teams up to three.

Session 2 – Setting Priorities for Mission and Impact: Clarify what matters most and build from your organization’s core strengths. This session focuses on mission alignment and program strategy — helping you cut through complexity and focus on what drives the greatest impact.

You’ll explore:

  • Your current program portfolio across mission alignment, community impact, capacity, and sustainability
  • Your organization’s “core” — your strongest competencies, available resources, and market position
  • Practical exercises that support strategic decision-making when evaluating programs and assets

Together, we’ll dig into where your organization creates the most meaningful community impact and what that means for your programmatic and financial future. Leave with a clearer picture of your strengths and a framework for making confident, mission-driven decisions.
